Benefit-based free school meals is not the same as the Governments Universal free school meals available to pupils in reception, year 1, and year 2.

If you are eligible for Benefit based free school meals, there is further support available.

Currently, there is the HAF programme - Holiday and Food programme that offers vouchers during the school holidays and access to approved holiday clubs within the scheme.

Eligibility checks will be undertaken to ensure children are in receipt of benefits base free school meals.
