The children had been learning about what was happening in our local area during the Victorian period. They found out about the hat trade in Luton and Dunstable and how straw plaiting was done. The children were able to attend a Wardown Museum workshop in school, which helped them to learn more about the plaiting process and how important the hat industry was for our local area.
